Dana Rueckert

Ms. Rueckert is a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS) and joined Kaspar Lugay LLP as the Managing Counsel for the San Diego branch in Year 2021. 

Ms. Rueckert is a San Francisco Bay Area native and the oldest of two children.     

Ms. Rueckert received her Bachelors of Arts in American Politics from the University of California, San Diego, where she was an award-winning member of the UC San Diego mock trial team.  She attended the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law in Los Angeles, California where she received her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Entertainment Law in 2011.  After practicing as a family law litigator in Northern California for almost nine years, Ms. Rueckert returned to San Diego to continue her career in Year 2020.

Ms. Rueckert considers herself first and foremost an educator for her clients.  Ms. Rueckert believes the best decisions are made when the most accurate information is available to the Parties.  Ms. Rueckert is known for being an easy-going, empathetic litigator with a special interest in complex financial matters involving business valuations and executive compensation schemes. 

In addition to representing parties in dissolution and parentage matters, Ms. Rueckert is a member of the Minor’s Counsel panel in San Diego County, and has previously represented minor children during high-conflict custody matters in Santa Clara County.

Ms. Rueckert lives in San Diego with her partner, and enjoys surfing, indoor cycling, and listening to true crime podcasts.
