Well, prenuptial agreements from a, from an attorney’s perspective that handles a lot of divorce cases are invaluable.

The reason for that is because the parties can negotiate terms on the front end of an exit strategy for a divorce. Uh, some of the problems with that though, are people don’t really want to have, don’t want to have the conversation on the front end, and so it’s not very romantic and it’s kind of a tough, tough discussion to have.

Um, but on the other side of that, it can, it can facilitate financial planning for the parties going forward. If you negotiate the terms of what a divorce could be on the front end, then you have a better idea of how to plan on, on the back end in the event that event occurs. Um, I would look at it like insurance on house.

If you have insurance on house and you’re paying for the insurance and the house never burns down, well, you know, was the insurance valuable? Prenuptial agreements are vastly cheaper than going through a divorce process and having to litigate everything.
